Since I was a child I was in love with visual storytelling. Having been inspired by the comics and cartoons, There wasn’t a day you couldn’t catch me drawing something. As high school began, my interest would expand to photography and film. I was certain being an artist was going to be my life. However, life happens; Get a job, keep the belly full, the rent, rinse wash repeat and MAYBE you can squeeze in some time for what you love to do. Next thing you know, 20 years go by being anything but an artist. I figured “I’ll get to it tomorrow” or next week or next year…I’ve got time…

…and then 2020 happened to us.

Without getting too deep into it, lets just say the world changed quite a bit. Amidst all the bad of that year (and beyond), one thing that was blatantly clear to me is that tomorrow is promised to no one. Your job can vanish and the world can shut down. With that in mind, my perspective shifted. Instead of living to work, I decided to spend more of my life doing what I enjoy (easier said than done, right?). Time is something we spend but can never get back, so we should all spend it doing what we love.
